"And at midnight
Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God...."
An integral part of our
worship service is the song service. Our worship services are
begun by congregational singing unaccompanied by musical instruments.
Praise is heard in the voices of the youngest to the oldest as we lift
up our voices in song, making melody in our heart to the Lord (Eph.
5:19, Col. 3:16).
We have included here some hymns of
praise and thanksgiving. These hymns are in Real Media
format and will require RealOne Player. Click on the image below

The following hymns
are taken from the CD Triumphal Feast, as recorded by The
Harmony Plains Singers, and are used by permission. The CD can
be obtained from Harmony Plains.
Triumphal Feast was recorded using music from the soon to be
released song book The Primitive Baptist Hymnal. The
PBH, first published in 1963, is currently under revision led by
Sister Helen Beauchamp and Elder Bryce Lowrance.
Extensive research
will soon produce a revision of this much-loved hymnal with an
abundance of treasured old songs and melodies. Every effort has
been made to preserve the original words of the poet and to include
all the words in the songs. The older style harmonies of the
Appalachian melodies has also been preserved.
The Primitive
Baptist Hymnal, 4th Edition will include over 600 hymns spanning
over 700 years of music composition. The hymnal has been
completely updated with new note-setting for every hymn with larger,
more easy to read fonts and music. The hymnal has also been
categorized for mood and subject. A scripture reference index,
exclusive to the Primitive Baptist Hymnal, will also be a great
help in selecting songs suited to your worship service.
